WOW. Pretty Little Liars' mid-season finale last night was a doozy!
Here's what you've missed.
So, a few weeks back, we were introduced to Ravenswood, as Toby and Spencer came to find Mrs. Grunwald, one of the many people Alison De Laurentiis, has encountered before her mysterious disappearance. The gang came back this week to visit her and get some answers about Alison's past and CeCe Drake's involvement with all of this (as Red Coat/A).
But before that, the episode opens with news about the real killer of the late evil Detective Wilden. Last week, Travis came to the police to help clear Ashley Marin's name. He told them that Hanna's mom had already fled the scene that time when Wilden was shot, making it impossible for her to be the killer.
Spencer gets a package from the mail, containing four Magic 8 Balls with their names written on it. It says,
Hanna: IF SHE GOES FREE
Spencer: YOU'LL HEAR FROM ME
Emily: KISSES
Aria: A
Is this the start of World War A?
In class, Mr. Fitz discusses Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest, all the while looking at Aria with his super cute puppy-dog eyes as if his love and Aria's were like of Miranda and Ferdinand's. Aaaaand then the bell rings. Ezra calls on Aria to stay for a bit to have "a minute of your time". He thanks Aria for being there for him that time when Ezra needed her. Aria then tells him that she was glad to be there for him... as a friend. (Oooooh... Ouch!)
Meanwhile, at the precinct, Travis told the police that Ashley is NOT the person who shot Wilden. As Ashley, Hanna and Caleb wait for the decision of the DA, Ashley thanks Caleb for taking care of Hanna while she's in jail. How she was less worried about Hanna because she knows that her daughter is with Caleb. Caleb tells her that he admires how Ashley handled everything, without even breaking, though she never deserved any of the hardships that happened to her. And that he now knows where Hanna gets that "never settle" attitude of hers. The DA, Sidney Barnes (guest star Marcia Clark--yes, THE Marcia Clark, head prosecutor from the OJ Simpson murder trial!), comes over to Ashley to tell her that all charges have been dropped and that the real killer has finally been identified. Caleb nods a "thank you" to Travis for helping them out, as Travis nods back a "you're welcome".
Ashley leaves the girls to go on a date with Pastor Ted. Moments later, they hear a doorbell. Hanna gets the door thinking that her mom must have forgotten her keys, but instead sees another package from A. It was a coffin with a Mona doll in it. They get a text saying, "Hanna won, so Mona loses. Find her before the cops or they'll think you killed her. -A"
Hanna tries to track down Mona by calling Radley, while everyone watches the news and sees the sketch of the new murder suspect at the Wilden case--CeCe Drake. Hanna tells everyone that Mona has already been released from Radley. Spencer decides to call Wren, while Emily goes back to school with Paige, to check if Mona is there since it's French Club Friday. Aria decides on cancelling her date with Jake, but Hanna disagrees. She tells Aria to "keep Jet Li as close as you can" for protection from CeCe.
Hanna tells Caleb that she'll be out to find Mona. Caleb tries to stop her as he thinks that this is probably just some master plan that Mona is involved in. But Hanna thinks that if Mona is with CeCe, Mona is in danger, since they already know what CeCe is capable of after killing Wilden.
Spencer drops by to check Wren's place and finds no one home. All there is in the house are luggages and some packed stuff. As she leaves the porch, she sees Jenna's car outside Wren's house. She looks back and notices someone peeking through the window, then quickly hides upon noticing that Spencer has spotted her. It was Shana.
Back at school, Paige and Emily drops by the French Club and asks Jackie (Jacqueline) about Mona. She tells her that she's still not there, although they were expecting her as it was suppose to be her Welcome Back party at the French Club.
At Toby's place, he reminisces while looking at his old stuff--well his mom's actually and starts to well up. He gets a text from Spencer, asking him to call her. He dismisses it and goes at the coffee shop downstairs where he finds Shana. She was in a hurry filling up a bunch of papers. As she leaves, she accidentally drops one of the papers. Toby comes over and finds an address on a consignment for an international waybill with Wren's Rosewood address on it AND Wren's London address with Melissa Hastings as the "care of" addressee. He quickly calls Spencer and leaves a message that they need to talk.
Toby and Spencer inspect the consignment note while watching the news about CeCe's involvement in Wilden's death. Spencer tries to think of a connection between Shana and Wren. Toby says he doesn't know, but he thinks Spencer's ex-boyfriend is moving in with his ex-fiance, Melissa. Notice how Toby emphasizes on the "ex-boyfriend". Haha!
Spencer talks to Toby about him shutting her out after their fight the night before, at the hoedown. Toby says he had some thinking to do that's why he wouldn't answer her calls and texts. Spencer tells him how worried she was considering what happened to her after that time when she thought Toby was killed by A. That he could just have sent her a text saying he wants space, just so she wouldn't worry that much. Toby apologizes and tells her that when he used to feel like the walls are closing in, he would take off. But this time, he stayed for her. He tells her that she was right. That last night, he tried to break in Palmer's car and realizes that he's so desperate to get close to A. Spencer says that she doesn't want him to stop looking for answers about his mom's death. But Toby replies that he "doesn't want A's version of the truth." That it's not worth finding out.
Caleb and Hanna's having a stakeout at Mona's. At the car, the two of them discuss how Hanna thinks Mona really meant well when she stuck up her head for Hanna's mom. Caleb also tries to convince her that if Mona is really in trouble, it's not Hanna's fault.
Since Aria's date was a bust, she heads on to The Brew to check out the contemporary poet. She finds Ezra there and she asks about the reading. Ezra replies that one of the poems remind him of Aria's story about her lost cat. That he thinks it was about Aly. She confesses that she didn't realize it at first, but that it was indeed about her. The two sat down for a coffee and talked. Aria kisses Ezra, and pulls away quickly. Outside, Red Coat--CeCe watches them.
Hanna worries about Mona, and the girls get another package from A. They find a box that seems to be empty. But Spencer figures out that it was actually a "magic" box. They find a saw inside with a message saying, "Watch me make a girl disappear. Kisses, -A". Spencer tells them that A is not playing a game on them, but putting on a magic show and that they're a part of her act. She thinks that A will make Mona disappear forever. The girls look for a nearby magic show and learns that the nearest one is on Ravenswood.
Meanwhile at the Vanderwaal's Toby sends Caleb home taking his shift on waiting for Mona. He later finds Jenna's car racing out of Mona's place with Shana driving it. He tails the car, leading him to a bed and breakfast East of Rosewood. There he finds Shana meeting a very comfy Mona, knitting on its front porch.
At Ravenswood, the girls watch The Great Charlemagne at a magic show. He later on asks for Aria to assist him on a magic trick. While watching, they didn't notice A taking Emily. They receive a text from A, "Leger de main. Kisses Bitches, -A". Spencer translates the text as "slight of hand". A took Emily while the girls were watching Aria.
By the time they called her, they could hear a saw in the background and they race to save Emily. As they step out of the park, they saw Red Coat running towards where Emily is. They hurry to save her when Red Coat stops the saw. They then find two Red Coats. Aria follows CeCe Red Coat while Spencer trails the other, as Hanna helps Emily get out of the box.
Aria gets into a fight with CeCe, aaaand uses for the first time her combat training with Jake (you go Aria!). CeCe holds on to a rope to escape from Aria, but the rope tore. She tries to save CeCe, but CeCe's sleeve ripped, causing her to fall. As Spencer, Emily and Hanna helps out a shaken Aria, CeCe escapes.
Spencer tells Emily, Hanna and Aria that she thinks the other Red Coat was Aly. That she wanted Spencer to follow her so she could show the girls where A's lair is at Ravenswood. They find out that A has been documenting their every move, and that A had access to everything, from the police to their alarm systems. Little did they know that they were being watched.
Hanna tries to crack A's password, but fails. Caleb tells her that he'll on the next bus to Ravenswood. Spencer finds A's bank account and finds out that A formed a corporation. She thinks that CeCe, though, is just another person in A's payroll. Hanna opens a closet and finds it full of men's coat--that A is actually a guy. Emily finds an album full of Aly's photos and Em remembers the clothes that Aly was wearing from the photo. She remembered that Aly bought it for her date with the older guy. The girls speculated that it was Ian or Wren, but Aria notices on one of the boards that it couldn't be Wren as he, too, was also being watched. They then speculated it has something to do with Board Shorts.
As Aria checks the other side of the board, she finds out that A has been following Aly as well. They realize that Aly is still alive as they notice that A has been trailing Aly to Ravenswood. At one of the posts, they find a flyer for a party for that night at the cemetery. They think A is expecting Alison to be there.
Outside, they find Mrs. Grunwald and warns them about how dangerous it is to chase after Aly. She apologizes to Spencer for lying as she is trying to protect her. She tells her about how afraid Aly was of A. She tells her that Mrs. Grunwald had the "gift of insight". She was using it then to help Alison to see who was threatening her. That night when she went missing, Mrs. Grunwald drove to Rosewood and found Aly reaching for life. She saved her and tried to bring her to a nearby hospital, but as she ran in to get help, she returned to an empty car. Meaning, Aly's still alive. That she was NEVER really gone. But that she doesn't want to be found just yet. She tells the girls to leave Ravenswood. That they are being watched by A, so they could lead him straight to Alison. Mrs. Grunwald leaves, warning them that "he's here".
The girls plan to crash the party at the cemetery. As they enter a shop, someone from the shadows emerge. It was A.
At his lair, it was then revealed that A is Ezra Fitz, furious that the girls have finally discovered his lair. Last scene of the episode shows Ezra wearing the steam punk costume that the girls found at one of the photos at the board.

Cory Monteith's Cause of Death Released
The British Columbia coroner has finally released a statement about the death of Glee star Cory Monteith. The coroner confirms in its toxicology report that the actor died of a mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.
Cops wouldn't delve into specifics about the contents of Cory Monteith's hotel room, but insinuated that "There was evidence in the room that was consistent of a drug overdose."
Autopsy yesterday says that it wasn't illicit drug use that killed him, though his toxicology confirms it.
We all know Cory has said to be struggling with drugs and alcohol since he was a teen and had just completed a 30-day program at a rehab facility just weeks ago.

All-New Suits Tomorrow on USA
Our favorite tandem is back tomorrow on USA, with new twists and drama in tow! I just can't wait.
So here's the low-down of what we would be seeing this season:
Mike and Rachel
Last season, we were left reeling by Mike Ross's steamy file room hookup with sexy paralegal, Rachel Zane. We all know that this was coming. I wasn't surprised that he'd confess to Rachel either. But the question still stands, will Rachel keep his secret? Or will she use it for her own gain?
Mike and Harvey
With Mike and Rachel falling for each other, there comes the Harvey-Mike fallout. With the broken "bromance" between Harvey Specter and Mike Ross, we are all thinking of what's gonna happen to these two next season. Mike is said to be grow up this season. Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) tells, "I think that you see Mike sort of trying to resolve the conflict in a way that's a little bit more mature, whereas he might have been begging and pleading like a little girl last year or the year before. This year, he's kind of holding his ground and saying he's sorry, but also trying to explain himself and where he's coming from."
Does this mean more of Mike's past will be revealed this season? Will they (Harvey and Mike) pick up the pieces and mend their bromance? Or will Harvey fire Mike for real, this time?
Harvey and Jessica
Jessica Pearson has become way more stern now, tightening her leash on Harvey. We all know Harvey never listens to anyone but Jessica. However, at the end of last season, we have noticed Harvey has been trying to break away from her, doing things his way. Will Jessica and Harvey ever be okay?
Harvey and Donna
Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen) gave the world a tease in a press-con about THE Harvey-Donna tandem. She says they will have a flashback that "goes to their roots". Finally, an explanation to the ever-so-solid team of Harvey and Donna.
Rafferty explains, "What I loved about [the flashback] is that we get to understand why Harvey's the moral guy that he is, it just digs into his past. I think what's so interesting about having flashbacks in the season is understanding what makes these people tick and why they're the way that they are."
Maybe well get to find out about the can opener as well, huh?
The Brits are Coming
We all know that the British invasion has now begun in the form of a merger between Pearson and Darby. As a result, Rafferty says, Donna "has her hands full as a result of that", and that the merger will play a big role on everyone's character.
The merger will also introduce the "British Harvey" in the form of Steven Huntley (Max Beesley), who will be Harvey's, uhm, new pain in the arse. (See what I did there? Haha!)
Gina Torres describes this season to be "agenda-heavy", compared to the previous seasons. Everyone's got something, and everyone's up to something. Torres adds, "I would have to say, to kind of put it all in a nutshell, it's got to be the most cut-throat season yet of Suits."
Suits Season Three premieres tomorrow, July 16, at 10pm on USA.

Gone Too Soon: Glee's Cory Monteith Dies at 31
It has been a whirlwind of emotions for Lea Michele, and the cast and fans of Glee this month. News swirl that the two were engaged and are planning to marry in a few weeks, when tragedy struck. Cory Monteith was found dead in his hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, British Columbia. With cause of death still unknown, the Canadian authorities have expedited his case, both on his autopsy and toxicology. So far, as per Vancouver PD Sgt. Randy Fincham, his autopsy reveals that there are no traces of illicit drug use in Cory's remains.
Troubled Glee star, Cory Monteith, 31, has been struggling with drugs and alcohol since he was 13, stemming way back from his parents' divorce when he was 7. He just recently completed a 30-day stint in rehab, and has been spotted out and about a few days back. TMZ has spotted him last month at LAX, very healthy and sober, while walking with his lady love.
With what's suppose to be a plan for the happiest day of their lives, Lea Michele is now left with planning a nightmare of Cory's funeral, not their wedding. She was said to be shaking and devastated after getting a phone call from the cops about Cory's passing.
What's next for Glee?
Glee writers and producers had an emergency meeting yesterday to plan about what's going to happen to Glee. It has been said that this season is suppose to premiere early, and should have been Finn Hudson's season, considering last season was a turning point for Cory's character on Glee. Now with his loss, the Glee producers and writers are planning to re-write the whole storyline this season. Hopefully, they would be able to give a beautiful tribute to Cory and a good season run to remember him by, as well as make a nice story for Finn Hudson's exit to Glee. I just wish this wouldn't be a story about Finn joining the army once more, not returning to McKinley High--or Lima, Ohio forever.
Cory Monteith's remains are still under post-mortem evaluation, with toxicology results to be released in a couple of days.
Rest in peace, Cory. Glee will never be the same without you. :(

Are the Eriksens moving? HIMYM S08E21 Recap
Lily has been given a life-changing decision that could make or break her family life with Marshall. Since she has been working so hard for The Captain, he has asked Lily to move with him to Rome, Italy and buy art for him there for a year. Lily, shocked, could not give a straight answer to him. Though she loves to live abroad, she knows that saying yes to The Captain would mean that she is going to uproot her family, having Marshall give up his job so that he and Marvin could come with her to Italy. The Captain gives her the rest of the day to decide.
Lily asks Barney and Ted's opinion about the big move to Italy and she was convinced to turn down The Captain's offer as she doesn't want to ruin her family life just because they moved to Italy, making Marshall leave his old life for her.
Meanwhile, Ted has his eyes on a girl he met at his yoga class. She shows up at the bar and was seen by Ted and Barney. Barney, being Barney, cannot stand not seeing the "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol of bodies"that Ted has been telling him. He slipped Carl, the bartender, $100 to turn up the heat so he could see her rocking body.
Later on, Robin comes in and the boys are surprised to see that she knows the girl they're talking about. She comes over to their booth with Robin and was introduced to them as Robin and Barney's wedding planner.
Since she's already unemployed, she makes an unannounced visit to Marshall at work. She was surprised to find out that Marshall's company hasn't had any clients for months already. Marshall explains that they have lost a lot of business clients since the Gruber case (Honeywell & Cootes vs. Brad Morris). That there were a lot of people laid-off, leaving just Marshall and Bernard at the firm.
Furious that she just gave up an opportunity-of-a-lifetime, Lily tells Marshall about The Captain's proposal for them to move with him to Rome, Italy. That she turned the offer down, thinking that Marshall loves his job too much, so she'll just give up her Italian dream. Marshall was surprised and excited, thinking that if they move to Rome, he can finally stay at home and just take care of Marvin, make home-made pasta and watch the Italian version of "The Price is Right". Something Marshall has been dreaming of for quite some time now... and something Lily thought might make Marshall miserable. Marshall makes things right for Lily and he rushes to The Captain to convince him to take Lily back as his art consultant.
Back to the wedding planning, Ted and Barney are still drooling over Liddy. She still hasn't took off her coat, making them frustrated already. Robin suspects something odd so she asked them what's up. Barney spills to Robin that Ted says Liddy has a "ridonculous body" and that he just wants to verify it, but Liddy just won't take off her coat. He fesses up to Robin that he paid Carl to turn up the bar's thermostat, to suffice his curiosity over Liddy's rack under that coat. To their surprise, Robin also was curious why Liddy hasn't took off her coat.
Robin suggests to Ted that he ask Liddy out. Apparently, Ted tried to ask her out once, but wasn't able to say a word after seeing her ridonculous body. He thinks Liddy's body "could melt a Nazi's face". Yes. That ridonculous, I guess. Haha! Finally, Barney asks Liddy to take her coat off to both prove to Robin that he has no more pheromonal stink and to answer their question about how crazy Liddy's body is. And it was indeed ridonculous.
The Captain calls Lily about his talk with Marshall. He asks Lily again if she would take up his offer once more to move with him to Rome, along with Marshall and Marvin. Lily turned it down once more. She explains that she might fail her job and lose everything if they move to Italy.
Ted warns Barney to take it easy on Robin. That just because she seems cool about him looking at other women, doesn't mean that she is cool with it. Barney was offended and dismisses Ted's suggestion, saying that it's not his place.
Marshall talks to Lily about how she turned down her dream job. Twice. She confesses that she was scared, just like that time in college when she moved to France for a while to study art. That she went home two weeks earlier than planned because she was lonely and "terrified of living more than 10 stops away from where I was born". But after pointing out to Lily all that could possibly terrifying to her in Italy, he tells her about the good side of moving there and assures her that they still have each other then, Marshall finally convinces Lily to move to Italy and pursue her dream job.
***Mircea Monroe (Hart of Dixie's Tansy Truitt) guest stars as Liddy, Robin and Barney's wedding planner and Ted's new crush.

But after pointing out to Lily all that could possibly terrifying to her in Italy, he tells her about the good side of moving there and assures her that they still have each other then, Marshall finally convinces Lily to move to Italy and pursue her dream job.

Nurse Jackie Season 5 Premiere - Recap
It has been a while since we last caught a glimpse of dear Nurse Jackie.
Last season, we have seen Jackie's fallout with her family, O'Hara's pregnancy and the giving birth of her child, the new boss and his connection with Jackie in and out of All Saints.
This season premiere, we are given double episodes.
Episode one. Happy F*cking Birthday.
We open with Jackie's dream (flashback) where we see her happily married life with Kevin. Later on, she wakes up to her new reality. Kevin is still mean to Jackie (who wouldn't, right?). He comes in to pick up Grace and Fiona for school. Jackie asks Kevin if she could have the kids for her birthday, to which Kevin replies with the age-old "I'll think about it" answer.
At the hospital, people are going nuts with the new pill dispenser. After seeing a super long line of impatient nurses, Eddie busts the machine open and asks someone to jot down all the pills he's distributing to all the nurses. Problem solved e?
Jackie takes some "party favors" from a famous NFL player's southern part. Yes, the back side. After he swallow three condoms filled with drugs to save him from an arrest following the accident he's been in. After cleaning up the recovered condoms, Jackie takes all the now-cleaned-drug-filled-condoms as she checks on a new patient. She looks at the drug condoms and has to face the dilemma of a recovering junkie seeing her poison of choice.
Zoey apologizes to Jackie after she walks in on her and Kevin that morning while having an argument as they wait for the kids. Zoey tries to compare it to her relationship with Lenny. Really, Zoey? Compare three months to a 16-year-marriage???
New doctors in All Saints are in. The hospital's got a new trauma guy, who has served in the Army, in the name of Dr. Ike Prentiss and a slutty new doctor, Carrie Roman. Dr. Prentiss was first thought to be a hobo by Jackie after he comes in to the ER, wearing filthy clothing. Jackie isn't the only one typecasting the new doc. A patient also bitched out, saying that Prentiss looks like a drug dealer. Ouch! We also meet Dr. Roman, who was first seen doing another doctor, which according to Jackie, isn't new. Yep, you guessed it. Almost everyone had already done her. Unfortunately, Roman isn't really that good at being a doctor compared to her being a wh_re.
By the way, Gloria Akalitus is now back as the hospital's administrator. She re-hires Eddie after his heroic deed at the pill dispenser. She realizes that she needs Eddie more than the pill machine.
Back to NFL dude. Jackie snitches him to the po-pos. He tries to bargain with Jackie, saying that he'll pay for her home in Queens, if she says she made a mistake. Instead, Jackie tells him that it wasn't her home that she wants him to pay for, but to but the hospital a new CT scanner, costing $425 grand. Athlete says yes, to avoid the arrest, and agrees to buy the hospital a new CT machine. Nice one, Jacks!
Eleanor drops some bad news on Jackie. She tells her that she'll be leaving All Saints to be with her child. She doesn't want O'Hara to leave, reasoning to her about the lives that she save everyday. O'Hara doesn't want to miss her son's first steps, words, and be blamed by her kid for not being present in his life. She tells Jackie that she's leaving the day before her birthday. That's pretty bad for Jackie as she also learns that Zoey's also moving out to find her own place as well. Awwww... Looks like Jackie's spending her birthday alone, after Kevin leaves her a message that the kids won't be there too.
Last scene shows Jackie in bed, slipping inside her ring, the last of the pill left from the condom drugs, after she flushes everything down the toilet. Clock strikes 12:00 midnight and she greets herself, "Happy F*cking Birthday".
Morris Chestnut, Betty Gilpin and Eric D. Hill, Jr. guest stars in this episode.

Episode two. Luck of the Drawing
The show opens with Kevin and Jackie sitting down with their divorce lawyer, talking about their case. Kevin seeks primary custody of the girls, to Jackie's disapproval and disappointment. The lawyer wants them to meet halfway and settle for joint custody. Jackie agrees, thinking that she wants it fair. Unfortunately for her, Kevin doesn't want fair. He'd rather jump into a time machine, way before Jackie becomes an addict and ruins their marriage and family life. Kevin thinks it's unfair, considering her schedule, to which Jackie rebuts. She thinks it's more unfair when she was working with her crazy schedule to pay for Kevin's bar, but she never makes it a big deal then. The divorce attorney suggests that if Jackie makes her schedule predictable, he expects Kevin to agree into meeting Jackie halfway into the custody settlement. This way, they don't need the case to be tossed to the judge.
It's still Jackie's birthday and she once again asks Kevin to give her a day with the kids. Even bargaining to make it her last birthday, and then she promises to have no more birthdays after that. Kevin, still cold to her, wouldn't let her have the kids for the day.
At her NA meeting, her NA moderator encourages her to share. That way, she wouldn't feel as bad as she is at the moment, with O'Hara leaving, Zoey moving out and Kevin not letting her have the kids on her birthday. Jackie, instead, leaves the meeting.
Jackie is slowly becoming friends now with Dr. Prentiss as they form a small bond over a patient, a boy who had a spider on his ear. Zoey greets her a "happy work day" and offers Jackie herself, sensing that she's having a bad day. Jackie pushes her away.
A return patient from the Atlantic City accident from the day before, comes at the ER and is "examined" by Dr. Roman. She only wrote her a prescription for pain medication without even checking her thoroughly. Jackie suspects something else, while checking the patient's X-ray. Dr. Roman thinks that the kid is just an addict and is only after the pain medication. Jackie took the liberty of asking for lab exams for the patient, pretending to be Dr. Roman on the phone, and asks Prentiss' help instead. Just as she suspected, the patient indeed has a problem and was immediately sent to the ICU.
Jackie gets flowers for her birthday. She throws the card away. Zoey checks it out and finds out that it was from Jackie's father. Cooper was surprised after finding out that she still has a father, while Thor wasn't even shocked considering that Jackie has worked at All Saints for 10 years before people found out that she's married. Thor stops Jackie from throwing the flowers away. Jackie gives it to a patient instead.
Gloria calls in the employees for an assembly at the old hallway. Jackie's patient has incurred sepsis under the hospital's responsibility, All Saints' 10th case in the last year. Zoey volunteers to be the hand-hygiene monitor. Prentiss suggests that they ID patients with sepsis risk. Akalitus agrees, telling him that he's the new ER chief. Cooper feels bad about Dr. Prentiss' appointment as he has been in All Saints longer than him. Dr. Cooper tells Jackie that he would quit as a protest to Prentiss' appointment as the new ER chief. Jackie then tells him to not quit, but rather "man the f*ck up" to earn respect.
Jackie comes to Gloria to talk about her schedule. Akalitus wouldn't let her have an adjustment to her schedule due to conflict with other peoples' schedules--10 people to be precise. Jackie begs Gloria as this is her only shot at keeping her into the running for joint custody in her battle with Kevin. Disappointed, she storms out of Gloria's office.
Dr. Roman tries to charm Dr. Prentiss, but was immediately dismissed by him due to her previous misdiagnosis on a patient with sepsis for drug problems. He then gives Roman a crappy job of disimpacting a senior patient's bowels. Yuck.
Carrie (Dr. Roman) tries to make an alliance with Cooper by poisoning him into thinking that Prentiss is power-tripping. She tells Coop that she has been given extra work by Prentiss to disimpact the bowels of a patient. Little did he know, Carrie was just using him into taking her shift as well as take the icky job she was given by Prentiss. Haha! Sucker.
Jackie still tries to pursue a reasonable work schedule and presents it to Gloria. She tricks her into signing to a schedule she just made, knowing that Gloria's having memory issues lately due to a lot of administration problems that she has been working on since Cruz left. Jackie calls Kevin to tell him her new custody-friendly schedule, to Kevin's dismay. He still wants to fight for primary custody and hires a lawyer to help him win the custody battle. He files for psychological incapacity on Jackie's side so he can get custody of the kids. He have filed, through his lawyer, an order for a psych test on the girls. This way, he could prove that Jackie has been a bad influence on the girls, so that he could keep their children from their mom. Jackie, blindsided, was pissed after working on her new schedule only to find out that she wouldn't even get a chance to have Kevin settle for the mediation with the custody of their daughters. Zoey finds Jackie and she opens up to Zoey about the custody battle.
Jackie once again finds the flowers, obviously Thor took back from the patient. She then drops it on the floor, making it seem like an accident, so she could finally get rid of it.
Dr. Roman has been missing from the ER again, as Hanna is now having renal failure as a result of her sepsis. Ike and Jackie responds to the patient, since Roman's still not with her patient. She comes in just as Prentiss and Jackie's done checking on the patient and is once again on the hot seat after her absence in the ER to stabilize her sepsis patient. Her phone rings and just as she was about to answer her phone, Dr. Prentiss scolds her to put the phone down. Distracted, Roman didn't notice Jackie swiping her phone down the garbage. Oh snap! Lolz.
Jackie calls Charlie's phone--yes, dead Charlie Cruz's phone to open up about her effed-up day.
Eddie offers Jackie a ride home, knowing that it's her birthday. Still sad about how things turned out on her supposed-to-be-special-day, she declines Eddie's offer and talks to him about her horrible custody battle with her now-ex-husband. Eddie suggests that Jackie go to Dr. Saltzman so she could get an idea about what happens on a psych evaluation. He also offers his help, in case Jackie needs someone to talk to. She says that what Eddie has done for her that day is actually the best gift she has had for her birthday. She thanks Eddie, gives him a hug and leaves home. Unfortunately, Jackie wasn't able to see that her actual birthday from Eddie was indeed the ride home. Turns out, Eddie rented a horse-drawn carriage. How romantic.

Jackie comes to an empty home on her birthday, when Zoey enters shortly. Suddenly, Zoey surprises Jackie with a better present than Eddie--her daughters. Apparently, Zoey talked to Kevin and has convinced him to let the girls come over to see her on her birthday. The kids brought her cake and pinata. Zoey opens up her laptop, announces, "Live, from London..." and flips her laptop towards Jackie as Eleanor greets her happy birthday. Jackie was able to blow her candles with Fiona, Grace, Zoey and O'Hara.
The girls took turns in hitting the pinata. Grace got carried away and beat up the pinata when she got her turn. That's when Jackie notice that Grace was really affected by the divorce. Jackie talks to Fiona and asks her to draw a picture of their family, not knowing that she was doing an impromptu psych evaluation on the kid.
Jackie comes to Kevin and thanks him for letting the kids come to visit her on her birthday. She tells him about Grace's rage problem and Fiona's school struggles as a result of their divorce. She shows Kevin Fiona's drawing and he finds out that if he would still proceed with the psych evaluation, he would be on the losing end, and not Jackie.
