CSI: NY Season 9 Premiere "Reignited" Recap

Mac Taylor, still recovering from a gunshot last season watches a hockey match between FDNY and NYPD. It's been six months since the time that he got shot and he's now back at work. After the game, Danny Messer and the rest of the hockey team gets into a fight with the FDNY boys but FDNY gets a call from a dispatch about a fire at 7th Avenue. The whole of NYPD and FDNY responds to the call. While on rescue, the FDNY chief dies.

At the burial, Mac tries to remember his past six months recovering when he was approached by Don Flack. The team investigates the cause of his death and the fire itself. They work with the arsonist Leonard Brooks (Rob Morrow; Numb3rs), who they think is behind the fire that killed FDNY Capt. Curtis "Smitty" Smith. He's been a suspect for 10 arson cases, but was only pinned on 1 of them. The NYPD has been keeping an eye on him for the past 15 years now and after the fire, he comes back to the burnt building, causing more suspicion from the CSI team. He denies such allegations, but offers his services to help track the person behind the fire. Brooks comes back to the scene of the crime and helps them find the right evidences to link them to the perp.

Lindsay checks on the evidences from the fire and finds out that the fire was aggravated by triethylaluminium, a compound that ignites when in contact with air and reignites when in contact with water. Turns out, the fire had traces of rubber and that there were evidences of water balloons at the area where the fire reignited, killing the FDNY chief. Aside from that they found evidences that the perp created a trip wire that could have been a trap to trigger the water balloons into falling to an entering firefighter.

While checking on the photos and videos at the time of the fire, Jo notices that one of the firefighters who responded is not a real firefighter. He was called in by the NYPD for questioning, but comes out clean. Flack interrupts and tells Taylor that he thinks Leonard Brooks is playing them and that there is another fire on 8th Street, Brooklyn.

FDNY responds to another fire. Don and Mac comes to check on it and see the firefighters beating arsonist Leonard Brooks. While trying to stop the men from beating Brooks, Don gets tangled into the fight. Mac rushes to help an injured Brooks. As the fight between Flack and one of the firemen breaks, they question the firefighter about why he beat Brooks when they don't even know if it was really him who set the fire. He answered that he got all the answers he need upon seeing a piece of note inside Brooks' pocket with the address of the burning building written on it (152 8th St.). Still mourning about Smitty's death, he then insults Taylor and the NYPD for "not taking care of business" that resulted to people like Brooks to be left at large. He blames the NYPD for Smitty's death. As a result, Mac arrests him, along with another firefighter, at the grounds of assault (against Brooks) and resisting arrest.

Upon checking the scene, Mac sees the water sprinklers' valve has been turned on and has probably helped extinguishing the fire in the building. Taylor and Flack suspects that the fire at 7th Ave. and at 8th St. have evidences that point to the same perp. They start to think that maybe Brooks was there not to witness the fire, but to set it. However, some of the evidences don't fit, like the part where Brooks (if he was the person who switched on the valve) may seem to have tried to put off the fire. If it was him, why would a pyromaniac then extinguish the fire he has started? And that if he was indeed involved, why then would he stay at the scene of the crime? The team investigates the scene as well and finds out that the same person, based on evidences, may have indeed set the fire on both 7th Ave and 8th St., just not sure if it was Brooks or someone else.

Mac and Flack follows Brooks to the hospital to interrogate him. They wanted to know how he got the address of the burning building at 8th St. and how did he knew which 8th St to go to, since there is one in Manhattan, another in Brooklyn and also in Queens. Unfortunately, he wouldn't say a word. They suspect that there's another person involved, not only Leonard Brooks.

Sheldon Hawkes approaches Mac regarding the fingerprints he found on a latex glove he found at the crime scene and tells them (Mac Taylor and Don Flack) that it belonged to another arson convict, Eva Mason. They think she may have worked with Brooks on both fires. They tracked her down at a motel and finds an empty room with a wall full of photos and clippings of articles about Leonard Brooks. They also find materials that she have used to set the fires at 7th and 8th in Brooklyn and a laptop in her motel room, showing a live feed from a camera at Brooks' home. They realize that she is not working with Brooks and she intends on killing him. Jo Danville calls Mac Taylor to rescue Brooks from imminent danger from Mason.

At Brooks' home, Mason confronts him on gunpoint upon knowing that he's helping them track down the person who started both fires. She was angry at him for helping the NYPD on both cases and for turning the water valve at the building on 8th St., that has extinguished the fire she has set. He explains that he was trying to save her from living the miserable life he had in prison. He tells her that although it's okay to feel that way (pyromaniac feelings), she could still get herself some professional help. She refuses help and tells him that she did all those things for Brooks to be proud of her. Puzzled, he told her that he doesn't even know her. Turns out he couldn't remember her when she was still visiting Brooks in prison while studying as a Psych major in college.

Brooks realize that Mason is going to set his house on fire to kill him. She used the old broken bulb, stove and light ignition technique to cause an explosion at his home. Mason fails to escape as Brooks' door lock was busted. So Brooks stops Mason from going out and jumps out of the window of his unit immediately, saving him from the fire and killing her instead. His home explodes as Mac and Don comes to rescue. They find an injured Leonard Brooks in the middle of the street and a burnt Eve Mason, who was thrown from Brooks' window at the impact of the explosion.

Back at the station, Mac and Jo talks to Leonard, while she hands him the only stuff that survived the fire at his home. Mac shows him the evidences that they found at Mason's motel room. He recalls his memories of Mason when she was still visiting him in prison and tells them of his plans of saving her from a life in prison. Knowing that Brooks may still have those urges of setting fires and his life old life as an arsonist, Mac and Jo advises him to never give in to those thoughts and that he can still try to turn his life around, starting over. He replies that it's way too late for him to live his life anew with a wife, two kids, a dog and white picket fences that he once dreamed of. That his past will always follow him and that he still have those urges. He admits to still fighting those urges and so long as his mind has never rested from those thoughts, he won't stop fighting his battle with pyromania. He thanks Taylor for treating him like a human being amidst his past and leaves.

Mac meets Christine at the NYPD lobby and he gives her a present. He thanks her for the six months that she took care of him when he was still struggling to remember parts of his life that he lost from the shooting. He hands her 2 dozen roses--one for every week she took care of him and they leave for a romantic dinner at a restaurant of Christine's choice.

The scene ends with Leonard Brooks finding a new place to stay, showing him contemplating while in front of a lit stove. Something tells me he's gonna be back...

Guess Who's Getting a "Makeover"? - Glee Recap

Blaine decides to up his status this senior year by becoming more active on school clubs and functions. He joins various school clubs to fill the void that he has in his life after Kurt left for New York. Blaine also signs up for Senior Class President against Brittany.

Kurt applies for internship at Vogue.com. He meets with the magazine's editor-in-chief, Isabelle Wright (guest star Sarah Jessica Parker) and finds out they're both from Ohio--Kurt from Lima and Isabelle from Columbus. Isabelle is impressed with Kurt's online resume and style that she hires him on the spot.

Later on, Mr. Schuester consults with Sue this year's set list for regionals. He feels like he's all dried up with good ideas for the glee club that he has come up with nothing for their set list this year. Sue explains to him that because he was too busy last year of chasing his dream of winning the Glee Club National Championship. He has nothing to look forward to, now that he has finally reached that goal. She tells Will to move on, probably to find a new job. While on a meeting with the committee, he found out that the budget for the Arts at schools are depleting. Will thinks that representing show choirs will be the way to go, so he could have something new to do.

Brittany asks Artie to become her Senior Class Vice-President and agrees to it. She announces to the club her intentions on running again for Senior Class President, with Artie as her running mate. Sam confronts Brittany at the school's hallway about why she chose Artie, instead of him as running mate. Brittany says that the reason why she didn't do it is because she doesn't wanna ruin her friendship with Sam. She then enlists him as Blaine's running mate so he could still run as VP, just like he wanted in the first place. Blaine says yes and Brittany immediately challenges Blaine and Sam to a debate.

Brittany feels bad for the coming debate due to the 90% of the senior class thinks she's stupid. So Artie thought he's going to make her over so people would change their mind. Blaine does the same thing to Sam so he could seem less-stupid. Come the debate, Artie babbles about a LOT of issues at school.  Sam was asked about his stripper past and if he's ashamed of it. He replies that he's not and does a Magic Mike number. President Senior Class Debate, Blaine offers to change things at McKinley if he gets elected. Brittany, on the other hand, gives a simple speech about her love for McKinley. She proposes to abolish summer vacation so that they can all be together at school all year long. She also proposes to remove weekends at McKinley so that they can also hang out even on Saturdays and Sundays.

Kurt and Rachel talks about her life in NYADA. She fills like she's still reliving her high school days when people at school still making fun of her fashion choices. Kurt makes her over so she could look better at school, and Kurt might make a good impression at work. Kurt and Rachel were seen at the cameras of the office breaking in the couture vault, therefore alarming Isabelle to come to Vogue.com offices. There, Isabelle caught the two inside the vault and Kurt explains that he's planning to do a make over on Rachel. Upon knowing their intentions, Isabelle joins them. They made a fashion video of it and Kurt is planning to put it on Vogue.com if Isabelle says yes.

Isabelle talks to Kurt about the video they made. She informs Kurt that Anna (Wintour) loved the idea and they are planning to re-shoot it with Carolina Kurkova, with all credits of the idea to Kurt. Isabelle tells Kurt that she hopes that Kurt's "unbridled, wide-eyed Lima, Ohio optimism" won't rub off by his life in New York. Isabelle advises him that he should use his very high fashion aptitude someday instead of going to NYADA. She tosses the leather idea for Vogue.com, tells her assistant that they'll start from scratch and lets Kurt join for the meeting later on.

Will talks to Emma about his plans on joining a blue ribbon panel to improve Arts education nationwide. He tells her that if he does this, he might leave McKinley for a few months. She advices him to follow his dreams, assuring him that nothing will change between them and no matter what, they'll still get married.

After Rachel's makeover, she goes to school with a new look. She looks so fascinating that Brody instantly was in awe of her new image. She asked Brody if they can sing "A Change Would Do You Good" together. The number was so intense that she got carried away and asked Brody to dinner.

The results are in and their Senior Student Council President is Blaine, with Sam as his VP. He calls Kurt to tell the good news, but Kurt ignores his call as he is celebrating with the staff of Vogue and Isabelle. Blaine was so bummed that he just realized that the reason why he moved to McKinley is Kurt, but now that he's gone, he feels so alone. Sam comforts Blaine and tells him that little did he know, he made change happen to McKinley by just moving there. He went on by saying that because of him, he now gets Bravo jokes, that Blaine is now the first gay president at McKinley and that he made him feel that it's great having a gay bro. Brittany congratulates Blaine as he leaves the table from a talk with Sam. She approaches Sam and he admits to voting for her at the elections. Brittany and Sam hugs and tells him how he'd always seem to have the right things to say.

Will comes to Sue to tell her that he's taking her advice and has mailed his application for the blue ribbon committee on Arts education. He asks for Sue's help on a letter of recommendation from a colleague and she gives him a written recommendation on the spot, saying that she's already way ahead of him on that department.

Rachel cooks dinner and sets the kitchen on fire. Brody comes in and instead of cooking dinner, Rachel instead just bought pizza for Brody since the duck she was supposed to cook got burnt. They talked about their secrets--how Brody used to be obsessed with Ace of Base and about the time Rachel corrected all the grammatical and spelling errors from a guy who sent her love letters when she was 8. The two kissed when they heard a knock on the door. IT. WAS. FINN!!!

The Date Night Variable - Big Bang Theory Season 6 Premiere

The awesomest nerds are back!

At the Big Bang Theory's season finale, we witnessed the union of Howard and Bernadette. Afterwards, he was sent off to space.

This season opens with the guys, sans Howard, at the comic store. Stuart, our friendly comic book guy still could not believe how awesome Howard's life is at the moment. Even Sheldon admits to a tinge of envy thinking that Howard's looking through a window and is seeing the majesty of the universe from outer space.

Howard, meanwhile, is at the space station speaking to his mother. She wants to talk to Howard about him and Bernadette moving out of the house to live on their own. His mother is disappointed about it, having to live with each other for what seemed like forever. Because of it, Howard says his entire space trip is now ruined.

Back on Earth, Leonard and Sheldon talks about anthropic principle. Since Howard isn't there for Sheldon to belittle, he resorts to ridicule Leonard instead, having the humblest position amongst them three physicists. Raj comes in and invites them to a spa night. However, Leonard refuses because he'll be hanging with Penny that night. Sheldon declines his invitation as well, telling Raj about his anniversary date with Amy. Raj went on about his life being alone and Sheldon instead invites him to join him on his date with Amy.

Bernadette calls Howard and tells him about her talk with Howard's mom. Bernadette just found out that Howard never mentioned to his mom about them moving out of his mom's house, upsetting his mom, which in turn upsets Bernadette. She threatens Howard to fix the mess he created between Bernadette and his mom or she won't do you-know-what to him when he comes home from space.

Sheldon and Amy goes to their date, surprising Amy upon finding out that Raj will be joining them as third wheel. Sheldon tells her that he found a loophole in their relationship agreement, therefore allowing him to bring Raj to their date without violating any rule in the contract. So he outsourced his role to engage in a conversation to Raj, pissing Amy even more. She confronts Sheldon in front of Raj, making Raj realize that it's actually their second anniversary. Raj feels guilty, tries to make up for it by buying them champagne. Unfortunately, he still doesn't get a clue on how angry and disappointed Amy is, so he stays for the rest of the date.

Leonard and Penny hangs in the boys' apartment to make up for all the awkwardness that's going on between them since the night he proposed while having sex. Leonard prepared all her favorites so they can watch sports together. Penny thinks it's awesome and it made up for the crappy day she had. Leonard ruins it by asking Penny about where exactly are they in their relationship. Raj comes home a bit drunk and wants to hang with him and Penny on their date instead since he doesn't wanna mess up Sheldon and Amy's anniversary date.

At the space station, Howard's mom calls him about something important that Bernadette says he's gonna tell his mom. So he tells his mom that he is going to leave her home so he could start his life with Bernadette. His mom didn't take it nicely and cries on the phone, making Howard feel guilty. He tells his mom that he'll talk to Bernie about it. His mom now thinks that it's Bernadette's idea and suddenly becomes furious.

Back at Leonard and Penny's date, Leonard gets pissed and wants to kick Raj out of the house so he could have a proper talk with Penny. Drunk Raj then lectures them about their relationship. He gives them a very sensible advise. Raj finds out that Penny has never said "I love you" to Leonard ever since and he forces her to say it while looking at Leonard's eyes. Penny gets mad and kicks him out of their date at the apartment.

Amy gets drunk and tries to seduce Sheldon. Sheldon doesn't buy it and Amy gets mad, storming out of their date. She gives him an ultimatum to say something meaningful and from the heart, or she breaks up with him. Sheldon then tells her that whenever they look into each other's eyes, everything feels not quite normal. That he feels "stronger and weaker at the same time"and "excited and at the same time, terrified". Amy was so touched, until he tells her that he was quoting the first Spiderman movie.

Now that Raj has nowhere to go, having kicked out of both couples' dates, he goes to the comic book store. He walks in to see Stuart. He's about to close up, but still invites him in to hang out. Stuart invites him to drink coffee liquor in a Chewbacca mug. Stuart and Raj finds company on each other, after finding out that they both are lonely persons drinking and doing most things alone. Later on, Raj invites Stuart to hang out the next day. At first, Stuart hesitates as he is low on funds, but finally says yes when Raj tells him it's his treat.

The last scene shows Howard talking to Bernie about his conversation with his mom. Dimitri butts in after the call, letting Howard realize that he both lied to his mom and his wife. He asks Howard what he's gonna do about it when he comes back home. Howard answers that he's never coming back.

Quotes:

Amy: This is so exciting...
Penny: (bleaching Amy's mustache)
Amy: Soon, my upper lip will be the same fake blonde as my beautiful best friend.
Penny: Hey, this is my natural hair color... now.

Amy: I can't believe I bleached my mustache for this.
Raj: You should go to my girl. She'll knock out those sideburns for free.

Dimitri: Hey Froot Loops! You got a phone call.
Howard: Who is it?
Dimitri: A woman who says she's your mother but she sounds like your father.

Howard: Hey Ma! You know, we could see each other if you'd turn on the computer...
Mrs. Wolowitz: I'm not going near that fakakta thing! I'll catch a computer virus.
Howard: You can't catch a computer virus.
Mrs. Wolowitz: Oh so now you're an astronaut AND a doctor?!

Stork's a Coming to the Pritchetts! Modern Family Season 4 Premiere

Fresh from another year of Emmy wins, Modern Family premieres its fourth season. Bringing Up Baby is the series' first episode this season aaaaand yes, someone's pregnant!

It's Jay's birthday and he requests his family to make it a quiet one this year--with NO surprises. Manny won't stop hitting Jay with his "old man" jokes and Gloria is planning to surprise Jay on his birthday by telling him that she is pregnant with his spawn. Phil kidnaps Jay for his birthday, with the help of pals Shorty (Chazz Palminteri) and Miles (Ernie Hudson).

With Jay still tied and his head on a bag, Shorty, Phil and Miles takes him fishing, but before getting into the boat, he fell into the water. Jay finally dry, the guys talk about the perks of being 65, making him think of what's gonna happen to his life now that he's at that age. Phil makes a toast to his birthday and then drives the boat so they can go fishing. Jay falls from the boat and comes home all wet.

Mitch and Cam are upset about the baby--or lack thereof. Unfortunately, they haven't told Lily just yet. Upon breaking it to Lily, she then asks for a kitten instead saying that if she can't have a brother she'll name Larry, she'd rather get a kitten then--that she'd name Larry. Cam goes along with Lily's wish to have a kitten to ease their disappointment of not having a baby. So Mitch, Cam, and Lily comes to adopt a cat. They find out that adopting a cat is not as easy as they thought it would be.

Claire talks to daughters Haley and Alex about their prom and she was shocked to find out that Dylan, Haley's boyfriend, is sleeping on their couch. Apparently, he spent the night in their home after prom. Haley convinces his mom to let Dylan move in with them for a couple of weeks and of course, Claire disapproves. Dylan talks to Claire that it's okay, but makes her feel guilty about it by telling her a graphic description of where he'll be staying.

Manny becomes obsessed with becoming a comic, after watching tons of Dean Martin roasts online. Gloria tells Manny that he'll be having a baby brother soon, to which he didn't took nicely. He thinks that Gloria will not be able to raise it well. He asks his mom about Jay and finds out that she hasn't said a word to him about it yet. Manny and Gloria are afraid he might not be too thrilled about it, thinking he doesn't deal well with change. Manny assures Gloria that he'll soon adapt to it.

While preparing for the party, Luke and Manny are talking about him becoming a big brother. Luke tells him that soon enough, Manny will not be the kid in the house anymore. Manny changes his mind on coming to poetry camp this coming summer, afraid that he'll come back to an unaffectionate Jay because he'll soon realize that he'll be having his own kid by Gloria. It's scares Manny to know that Jay might think of him being insignificant because he's not really Jay's biological son. Gloria thinks otherwise.

Gloria also tells Claire about her pregnancy and says that she hasn't told Jay yet. Claire kinda tricks Gloria into thinking that her dad's gonna be thrilled, though she knows he won't be. Claire plans on telling her father before Gloria does, so he won't say something stupid and insensitive. Not telling him directly about Gloria's condition, Claire tells him that someone will be telling him a very important news and that he should react nicely because of that someone being in a vulnerable state at the moment.

Cam and Mitch comes in and he thought it was them who's breaking the news (get it? no baby = vulnerable state) so he reacts unusually nice about it and gives his full support. Jay tells that hopefully, the little booger that is Stella (the dog) won't get jealous when it comes. Manny thinks it was him that Jay called little booger and reacts badly. Jay, confused, asks what's going on. So Gloria finally admits to her pregnancy. Jay was shocked and Gloria, thinking that Jay might not like it, tells him that if he doesn't want the baby, she'll raise it on her own just like what she did with Manny. Jay instead, tells her that it's actually the best news that he's ever got, having something now to look forward to at 65 because he thought that his life might be over, now that he's THAT old.

Fast forward, Gloria's tummy is already big. Phil grows a beard, taking Shorty's advice. Mitch, Cam and Lily, went to London to ease the sadness of not having a baby. Although, they still went through the cat adoption and named the cat Larry.

We also find out that Claire and Phil did let Dylan live with them. Claire is planning to kick him out of the house soon. She also tells Phil to lose the beard. Manny still went through poetry camp. The episode ends with Claire letting Dylan out the door.

Quotes:

Gloria: Manny, I can take care of a baby. I took care of you!
Manny: Puh-lease, I was an anomaly. I self-potty trained.

Cam: You know we have been through a lot and maybe the presence of a cuddly little friend will help us ease the pain.
Mitch: Okay, so what you're saying is you have a child-shaped hole in your heart and your plan is to cram a cat into there.

Gloria: I'm pregnant.
Claire: (gasps) You're gonna get fat!

Partners - An All-New Show

New TV show!!! Ugh, it's like opening a Christmas gift for me. All the waiting, and then the airing day comes... Just awesome.

Anyhoos, after Numb3rs and One Tree Hill, we thought it would take a long while before we see Dave Krumholtz and Sophia Bush in action again--TV or movies. Well, we need not wait any longer! From the creators of Will and Grace, Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, comes Partners. It's a new CBS sitcom about lifelong pals, Joe and Louis. Joe, played by David Krumholtz,  and Louis, portrayed by Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), are partners in their architecture firm in New York. They have been friends for so many years and has been aspiring to be architects ever since their childhood days.

Joe, is a very critical man, who thinks too much. Lately, he has been considering breaking up with his girlfriend, Ali (Sophia Bush) all because she says she wants to get married and have kids, after getting drunk the night before. Joe is way into his job, that he's not yet ready for that kind of commitment, so he wants to leave her. He comes to talk to her after work to break up with her, but didn't when she admitted that the only reason why she said that is because she's been so stressed out. Instead of breaking up with her, he ended up proposing to her. Ali says yes.

Unlike Joe, Louis is far too impulsive. He always goes with his gut, that he had a face of Clay Aiken tattooed on his butt. Louis has a boyfriend named Wyatt (Brandon Routh). Although he is just a nurse, Louis would always tell people he's a Jewish doctor because he's embarrassed to tell people of his job. Anyhoos, Louis also talks a lot... A LOT lot. Thinking that Joe would break up with Ali that night, he comforts Ali the next day at yoga class, and blurts out things he isn't suppose to tell her. He comes to work to talk to Joe about it, when Ali calls him to tell what Louis just said. She also called in to tell him the engagement is off. Joe becomes furious of what Louis had done and breaks up with Louis.

Joe sees, by chance, Wyatt at the coffee shop and asks him about the break up. Joe tells him that he proposed, and then she called it off because of what Louis did. Wyatt defends Louis to Joe, telling him that even though he does those things, Louis has a big heart. And amidst all the things that he do, Wyatt is able to look past it because of it. From the looks of it, although Wyatt seems pretty much "blonde" inside, dude makes sense.

Louis comes to Ali to apologize and tells Ali that Joe broke his friendship with him. He tries to make up to Joe by convincing Ali to get back with him. And he proposes for Joe again. She says she'll think about it. Louis comes back to the office to clean up, when he comes in to see Joe in his office. Ali calls Joe and tells him what he did and became friends with Louis once again.

Partners airs on CBS on Mondays 830/730c, right after How I Met Your Mother, and simulcasts in Canada via Citytv.

Back-to-Back Episodes of Adorkable - New Girl Season Two Premiere Recap

The adorkable Jessica Day is back with the rest of the gang in New Girl. This week features a back-to-back episodes of your favorite quirky cast.

This season opens with the school firing her, along with the other 10% non-tenure teachers at work due to cut backs.Jess comes home and the guys find out her problem. They try to cheer her up, knowing how she is when she's down, but she stops them then and there asking no pity from the boys.

Meanwhile, Schmidt is now back to his old self as his cast is finally off (remember his broken penis?) and is planning to "re-brand" himself after 2 months of you-know-what by throwing a party. Since Jess is on a job hunt, she volunteers herself so Schmidt would hire her as a shot girl to his party. Schmidt also hires Nick as his bartender. At first he refuses, but Winston then encourages Nick of his talents in making drinks so he says yes.

Cece attends the party and she introduces her new boyfriend to Schmidt. Schmidt was surprised to find her moving on with a guy who looks kinda like him before he was hot--a chubby nerd. Schmidt comes to talk to Winston and Nick about this. Schmidt introduces himself to Cece's boyfriend and he finds out how much of a loser he thinks her new boyfriend is. Later on, he talks to Cece and comes to term with the reality that is their break up.

Nick sees Jess, who seems sad after screwing up her job for the night and since she hates pity and sympathy, Nick talks down on Jess so she won't feel sorry for herself. Jess, all fired up, goes up to the bar and dances her ass off--in her own dorky way. Everyone cheers her up and she realizes her situation and walks out telling Nick, "I'm a teacher, not a shot girl". She drives to the school she used to work in and Nick follows to comfort her (awwww!). He tells her that she'll be better and he gives her "the beating" so he could cheer her up.

Episode 1 "Re-launch" guest stars Parker Posey as the other shot girl, Casey, and Nelson Franklin as Robby, Cece's new boyfriend.

Now on to episode 2 of New Girl's season premiere.

Jess becomes crazy being unemployed. She tries doing all sorts of stuff at home to preoccupy herself. At first they think it was okay, as she was just cooking and cleaning the house, until the boys sees a weird collage Jess made for them. Clearly, Jess is in way too deep. Nick tells her to take a break. She takes his advice and gets drunk at 11am as her way of "getting off the grid". Jess meets Nick's friends and instantly had a connection with Andy. She asks Nick for his number. Later on she meets Sam (David Walton, Bent) at the bar, who was suppose to see Katie, a girl he met at a site called Cuban Match. Jess, pretends to be her and scores an instant date.

Nick and Jess also meets an old man named Nick. He tells Nick he came from the future and that he's the future him. He tells him things to prove he IS him and leaves immediately. He tells Schmidt about it and Jess comes in to tell the boys to call her Katie. After Sam leaves, Nick's friend from the bar texts her asking her out. Jess becomes so into her Katie persona that she decides to keep that identity and dates both Sam and Andy.

Unfortunately, Nick thought that the guy Jess has been crushing on is Bearclaw. She only finds out when he comes in for dinner and upon opening the door, it wasn't Andy who's coming over. Jess ditches her date after she gets a text from Sam and has sex with him at the bar. While doing the deed at the bar's men's room, Jess hears Andy and Bearclaw talking about her. Andy tells Bearclaw that he felt a connection with Jess and that he likes her too. He was wondering though, why she got Bearclaw's number and not his. Jess was caught at the men's room by Bearclaw doing the deed with Sam, pisses off Andy and crushes Bearclaw's heart. Nick was shocked and called her on both names--Jess and Katie.

Jess explains herself to Andy and a sobbing Bearclaw about the number mix-up and apologizes to both men. She also admits to Sam about her real identity. Old Nick says goodbye to Present Nick. He tells him to apologize to Jess and make her an old-fashioned again. Turns out, Old Nick was just a crazy old man who lives at the back of the bar.

Winston's family comes over to visit and Schmidt tries to impress them, thinking Winston's mom hates him. Alisha (Keenyah Hill; ANTM Cycle 4), Winston's sister becomes one of Schmidt's targets. He tells Winston of his plans when his mother walks in on them talking. Schmidt instantly becomes this wannabe black, just so Winston's mom would like him. He crashes into Winston's dinner with his mom, sister, and her team mates at LA Sparks, making a complete fool out of himself. She says, she don't date guys who aren't ballers. So he challenges her to a game. Of course he lost, what do you think?!

Nick still took Future Nick's advice, thinking that someday he might do something very bad to Jess, in advance says sorry. She says she forgives him, no matter what it is. Their talk was interrupted by a visit from Sam. He says that he doesn't care if Jess was not the person she said she was when they met. Just like her, he too lied on his profile and that all he wants to have sex with her.

Obama Mama - The New Normal Recap

And just like that, the week's all over and a new episode of New Normal is here!

Now that Goldie's pregnant, she craves for all sorts of things and some of it are quite unhealthy. So Bryan and David comes over to Goldie and Shania's house and sees her eat burger for breakfast. They brought along some organic food and lectures her on how the food she eats affect their baby. They also brought in the mail that were sent to the couple's house. They saw through her mail that she was sent a notice to register for the coming elections. Bryan then invites Rocky (NeNe Leakes), his personal assistant, to his party and asks her to bring her friends with her, so he could prove to Jane that he's not racist.

Nana Jane comes to the couple's house furious upon knowing that the couple is trying to influence Goldie to vote for Obama instead of Romney. Jane, being a Republican, of course is voting for Romney. They had a debate about it at the kitchen and David couldn't help but say to Jane's face that she's a racist. She rebuts Bryan and David by saying that maybe THEY are the racist ones, seeing they even have no black friends. Bryan then invites her Friday to a party where he says she will meet their black friends, which they don't really have.

At the party, Rocky comes in and turns out, Rocky's friends are white too! He asks Rocky why she brought white friends over and not "sisters" of her color. So she tells Bryan that's racist and Bryan apologizes. She then told him that his brother is coming too, just not sure what time he'll be coming since "you know how black people are always late". Anyhoos, Bryan saw a black waiter and he asks him to "act"for an audition playing his friend. Bryan introduces him to Jane and the waiter tells her his name is Tripp. Rocky's little brother, Clint (guest star Sterling Suleiman, Pretty Little Liars) comes in and meets Goldie. The two instantly hit it off and become friends, much to Nana Jane's dislike.

People at the dinner table--all liberals question why Jane is a Republican and her stand on health care. The whole dinner becomes a political debate. Jane later apologizes to Bryan and David about probably offending some of their friends with her passion and suggests they announce Goldie's pregnancy as a surrogate to their friends. Little do they know, it was actually Jane's plan so Goldie won't be able to date Rocky's brother, once he finds out that she's pregnant. Then Jane blurts out to Clint that Goldie is also a mom to 9-year-old daughter, Shania. Goldie, humiliated with what Jane did, runs away.

Later on, while waiting for Goldie, Jane and the rest of the people finds out that Clint is a Republican. Of course, Rocky's disappointed, knowing how Romney is and why he could turn his back on Obama. Jane also finds out that the other black guy was an actor and bids them goodbye, since his shift has ended about an hour ago. Still no sign of Goldie, everyone is already worried. Shania thought of where she might be and everyone comes to bring her home. Bryan and David apologizes and finds out that the reason why Goldie is so emotional, is because she's being sued by Clay for custody over Shania. The letter that she got that morning says that she has to take Shania back to Ohio where her father is.

At the end of the episode, Shania's school is having a mock election and she picks Obama, because of his ideals. Bryan and David realizes that they need to meet more people to let their child grow up, knowing how diversity is in this world. Goldie finds out that Bryan and David doesn't really know that much people of color and so she encourages them that it's never too late. They then befriends a diverse family at school--black father and Asian mom. Turns out, they also are in need of new friends--gay couple friends in their case.

Switched At Birth Recap - Tree of Forgiveness

On this episode of Switched at Birth, John's carwash is sponsoring a motorcycle show. Unfortunately, his place was vandalized again--this time, it was not Bay. John was furious about it, thinking it was the same person who vandalized his place at both occasions. Bay tries to defend it because, well first of all, she made the first graffiti, and unlike the second one, hers is far too different. She is saying that there is a difference between the two art works and that those weren't done by the same person. Bay explains to John why people do graffiti--to be seen, but John thinks otherwise and explains that what it is to him is a felony that could just be the same as breaking and entering. Of course, Bay begs to differ, but John is adamant and will not let things like these get away.

John talks to Kathryn how upset he was on the graffiti and on how Bay's reaction was on the whole thing. Kathryn talks sense to John about how teenagers are and how she was back then with her own father, and letting him think that that's how kids are.

Meanwhile, Kathryn talks to Angelo about the nurse, who was his insider at the hospital where the Kathryn and Regina gave birth. She told him that their lawyers and investigators are talking to Leann, the nurse. Kathryn told him how she found out who his insider at the hospital was and how she knew that they used to be together. He confessed on how he met her and how she told Angelo about the baby switching.

Back to Bay, she talked to Zarra about the tag. She says that the reason why she tagged it is because Bay's artwork was painted it clean. Bay told her that she shouldn't have done that, without saying a word to Zarra that it was Bay's father's carwash and that Bay herself covered her artwork, cleaning up the wall. Zarra, on the other hand, wasn't paying attention to her, focusing on Bay's car, which she's been eyeing on for quite some time now. Somehow, Bay's message about not vandalizing the carwash didn't come across. But a sudden turn of events changes things. Bay, Zarra and the rest of her friends were caught by the cops doing a piece on an alley wall. One of the police checks on Bay and sees her ID, revealing her identity to Zarra as John Kennish's daughter. Zarra, was disappointed, when upon putting two and two together, she finds out that it was Bay who bombed her dad's wall.

Emmett meets a new girl at the carwash's motorcycle show event. The girl is practically like Emmett--deaf and is a motorcycle afficionado. What's more, she races. Kinda badass, if you ask me. Daphne thinks they should be together, but Emmett's still hung up on Bay. Daphne then talks to Bay about this and tells her that if she still cares about Emmett, she would tell him to move on and not let him hang on to any glimmer of hope he thinks Bay is giving, so they'd get back together.

Kathryn asks Toby if he could play at his dad's event at the carwash but he refuses. He thinks that he's not going anywhere anyway, so he'd rather play his music to himself. Kathryn then thought of a plan to make Toby realize his dreams and believe on how good he really is. She asks Toby to come with her at a rummage sale and Toby obliges. He doesn't know that it wasn't really a rummage sale. She tricked him to play at the church, thinking this would also get him out of the slump he was in after his break up with Simone.

At church, Toby was introduced as Guitar Face--his band with Emmett and Wilke. He then at the last minute refused to play. Kathryn tries to convince him once more and Toby was left with no choice but to tell his mom truth about how he and Simone broke up. He said Simone did not dump him, but that she had sex with Bay's Emmett. And so Kathryn, instead went on stage and told the people that there is no more Guitar Face and sang in front of people, taking Toby's place. Toby, was then encouraged to play with his mother, making the people at church (and one cute girl!) applaud. Cute girl, Nikki, comes over to Toby and asks him to come and play the next time. Toby declines as it was just a one-time thing singing for the church with his mom.

Speaking of Simone, our most favorite Kennish enemy, was seen by Regina outside a liquor store, paying someone to buy her vodka. She once saw her at an AA meeting and thinks that she might be in trouble. She found out from Simone that she was dropped by her sponsor and has stopped coming to AA meetings. She asked her what's wrong and Simone confided about how everyone hates her because of her cheating on Toby by sleeping with Bay's boyfriend. She thinks she deserves it and started drinking because she hated herself for all the things that she did. Regina comforts her that she may have done all those things, that had many people suffer through her thoughtless acts, but that doesn't mean she has done the worst things. That she should make amends and move on. She told Simone how she was when she was younger and she was still a drunk. She told her that it's not their job to forgive her but she has to go back to her AA meetings.

Bay talks to Emmett about how things aren't okay with her at home. She tells him about the artwork she painted on her dad's carwash. He advises Bay to give her dad a chance to know that it was her artwork that was painted at the wall of the carwash. Bay wouldn't wanna admit to her dad about it, thinking that it would hurt him so much, knowing that vandalism is a felony and that she was the one who vandalized his business.

So Bay, at Emmett's advice, admits to her dad that it was her artwork that defaced his carwash wall. She also admits to all the graffiti that she did all over town, telling him that it wasn't a thug thing to her, but art. She tells him she's sorry and that the reason why she did that so she'd be seen by her father, but to this John replied that he feels like he doesn't know her anymore. She comes back to Emmett and tells him that his advice didn't go as planned. Robin, the deaf girl Emmett and Daphne met the day before, comes over to tell Emmett that she voted for his bike at she motorcycle show. He introduces her to Bay and she invites them to Robin's race at Odessa. Bay realizes that she does have to let go now of Emmett, by letting him be with someone like Robin and leaves the two to be alone.

Now we all know that Angelo is trying to woo back Daphne and is doing all that he can to win his daughter back. However, Daphne is still hurt about him leaving when she was young and would rather Angelo stays out of her way. Unfortunately, living at the Kennishes will never make her avoid him forever. Angelo gets into a minor accident while helping out fixing things at the Kennishes, and Daphne finds him, his hand bleeding with a nail stuck on it. She drives him to the hospital to get immediate care.

At the hospital, Daphne told him to groan so he could be taken care of faster by the nurses. Angelo thinks that things are finally getting better between them until Daphne denies him at the nurses saying that she is not his daughter. Angelo was hurt and tells her that at some point she will someday forgive him for leaving her and Regina and made it clear that he will never stop making up for everything that he did years back. That he's not the bad guy that she think she is, who left her because she's deaf. Later on, he spoke with Regina and she got mad at him about the nurse. He told her that they had to move forward, instead of always going back to the past. The next morning, Daphne got Angelo a pair of gloves as peace offering and learns that he is now learning how to sign.

John tells Kathryn about what happened to him and Bay and realized that they have missed a lot on Bay that she ended up like that. Bay comes to explain to Zarra everything about her being Bay Vasquez and Bay Kennish. Zarra admits that she was weirded out by Bay being rich, as she expected Bay to be like her. She finds a friend in her.

Legen--wait for it...dary! HIMYM Season 8 Premiere

The gang is back! And we are so much closer into knowing who Ted's kids' mother is.

This episode is all about weddings. And the age-old question (well, just last season's question!) about who Barney is marrying will finally be answered. The bride is... ROBIN!!! Yes, our dear Ted Mosby is Barney's best man to his and Robin Scherbatsky's wedding. Moments before the marriage, however, Robin is having second thoughts and Ted comes to the rescue. Talking some sense to her comes a back story...

Last season, we all thought our resident player, Barney just got engaged to Quinn. Yea, we all thought it was her who's going to marry him! Lily and Marshall had a baby who they named Marvin, after Marshall's deceased father. And Ted got back together with Victoria.

Now things got weird when Robin and Lily were asked by Quinn to be bridesmaids. Aaaand Lily was totally spaced out, she and Marshall could not remember the conversation, even though it was just seconds after Lily and Robin was asked!

After talking to Barney about it, they found out that Quinn doesn't have a clue about Robin and Barney's past. Barney then conspires with Robin, Lily and Marshall to keep their past relationship a secret... but not for long as spaced out Lily and Marshall accidentally let off the secret when Lily blurted it out, not remembering that they invited Quinn to hang at Marvin's room with them. Quinn confronts Barney about it and he explains everything to her in--get this: 52 SECONDS (cue timer)!!! She walks out and talks to Robin about it (note Lily and Marshall were totally clueless that they revealed the secret, not remembering anything because they have never slept since Marvin's birth). Robin assured Quinn that they are not getting back together since she's seeing someone now--Nick (Michael Trucco). Quinn is not convinced until she finally meets Nick (and his abs) and thus confirming to Quinn his relationship with Robin.

As Quinn left Barney and Robin to themselves at McLaren's, the two had a talk about their past. Robin told Barney that although they weren't together anymore, she was kinda hurt that Barney was willing to throw all their memories THAT easy. Barney then gave Robin a key to an address and then left. It happens to be a storage facility unit where he kept all his memories of him and Robin being together, bringing her to tears.

Anyhoos, back to Ted, he and Victoria were riding off to the sunset after leaving her groom at the altar for Ted. We all know Ted was left ages ago by Stella at the altar as well and he told Victoria that she should have left her fiancé, Claus, a note as to why she left. After writing the note, Ted had to deliver the note for Victoria, causing a series of crazy events thereafter. Ted had to climb up the church window to get his car keys after he left it upon leaving Claus the note.

Going back to the church, he then finally meets Claus, who's also running away (climbing down the drainpipe from the church window!) from his wedding to Victoria. He leaves a note, as common courtesy (just like Ted said to Victoria), telling why he didn't went through the wedding. It occurred to Ted that with what Claus did, he can undo what Victoria did by climbing up the drain pipe to the church window and retrieve the note he left for Claus, putting all the blame on Claus and making it seem that he's the one who left Victoria in the first place, not the other way around. He staged it to seem that Victoria left the church because she "read" the note Claus left for her and then climbs down the church window again.

Ted followed Claus to Farhampton and asked him why he left Victoria. He explained that although Victoria is wonderful and is his "lifelong treasure of destiny", he still cannot marry her as she is not what he wanted. The things he said after that, gotta tell you, Claus was right. Though hard to understand with his accent and what not, dude made a seriously good point!

On the last scene, it appears that it is where Ted meets the future mother of his kids.
